Expressive
Expressive language refers to speaking or producing language (Balanced Literacy Diet, 2018). Expressive language challenges may result from a variety of specific impairments, including: physical challenges that result in difficulties with speech production, lack of vocabulary knowledge, or challenges with the structure of language. Consultation with a Speech-Language Pathologist or Psychologist is recommended in order to assess and accommodate for receptive language challenges.
