Group Reading

Group reading is a common practice in guided reading. Students follow along with each other and remain on the same page of a book while each student reads one at a time in turn. The purpose of group reading is to teach reading skills. Students must be able to decode words and to read fluently.

It can be easy to overlook how many different skills are needed for even simple schoolwork. The following list includes all the skills required to perform the task you selected. Once you pick a primary skill domain, like reading, you will see a list of all the subskills that make up reading.
