Idea organization is a dimension of writing related to planning and prewriting. Many students have the ability to write but are overwhelmed during the preparation phase, and their ideas in their written pieces do not logically flow. Organizational technology, such as graphic organizers, are an effective way to improve these student’s ability to sort, plan, and develop their ideas.
